It’s a (future) boy for San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker, who tweeted this week that he’s expecting a son with his fiancée, Axelle Francine: “Hey just wanted to say that I’m very happy today … me and my future Wife going to have a Baby Boy!!!!”
The NBA all-star and his journalist fiancée ,who both have French roots, have been together since 2011. It’s the first baby for Parker, who was married to Eva Longoria from 2007-2011. Since Parker’s the son of a basketball player, what could they name their new little all-star?
Enzo: Although its roots are Italian, Enzo is currently a popular name for boys in France.
Jacob: Or if they want to honor San Antonio, Jacob is a popular name for boys in Texas.
Tony: Tony Parker is actually a junior, so his son could be the III.
Gregg: The point guard has spoken highly of his Spurs coach, Gregg Popovich.
Adam: Parker was born in Belgium, where this classic name still reigns.
Emma: Emma’s a top name for girls in France, but its original German meaning is “universal” — and it remains universally popular.
Sophia: The top girls’ name in Texas is also huge just about everywhere else in the country.
Isabella: A pretty way to name a baby with a joint French and American background.
Astrid: Well a mom with the name Axelle probably isn’t going to go 100% traditional, is she?
Rose: It goes with Axelle!
