I’ve actually met a Britta before, but I get what you’re saying.
When it comes down to it, if you love a name, use it. Others will get to know your child and begin to associate that name with him/her, not the product that he/she may share a name with.

My sister’s name is Gemma, and her (unplanned) initials are GEMS. Haha, what a coincidence. I love the name though!

I immediately thought of Elvis. Honestly, I’m not really a fan.

Lennon, on a girl… Meh. And the last name is Vernon, Lennon Vernon.. I don’t like the repetitiveness.

I actually love Beatrice, nn Bea. I have a friend named Gretchen, and it’s not a terrible name, but I also don’t really see it making a comeback.. Eleanor is *adorable*. Rose is still a pretty common middle name.

Jeesh. Maybe the writers of these articles should come to this forum, they would be much more up to date on the names we ladies are favoring today ;)

I don’t know if this name is your style, but I’ve recently come across the name Vashti. She was the Queen of Persia in the Bible, kind of a cool tie and an uncommon but pretty V name :)

My newborn niece’s name is Inez — not that it’s a strange name, but kind of strange in today’s world.
There’s a child at the elementary school where I work named Listat and another named Unique. Really?!
I also know a Beaudry (bo-dree). I actually kind of think it’s cute, but I had never heard it before.
