Thanks twosapphires celebrating a half birthday is a good idea! And Inga, I hadn’t thought about the school year.. All valid points. I just don’t want to have to work on their first Christmas /thanksgiving, etc. Whether they remember it or not- I will! I guess we’ll ttc for an Aug. Baby And hopefully have a positive result before we get to a dec/Jan. Due date!?

My Least Favorite thing: having to work :( I love my job caring for others, but I still cry all the way there having to leave my own family

My Favorite thing: Christmas cards! I love the excitement of getting them in the mail-such an old and timeless tradition in a world of technology. I have been in charge of hanging them up since I was little. Now I keep a photo album of all the picture ones from each year & enjoy seeing how the kids in them have grown!

    From your list I like:
Hadleigh (I don’t know how I feel)- Although I prefer Hadley or even better, Henley
Ireland (In honor of my Irish roots?)- I love the place & honoring your roots but using an Irish/Gaelic/Celtic name would do the same and you don’t seem to have many on your list.
Reign- I actually really like this. Way better than “Rain”

Scarlett (Or Charlotte is still on our list but Nik likes this better)- Scarlett (or Charlotte) along with Amelia, Penelope & Juliana/Juliette are my favorites from your list.

    Please, anything but:
Jezebel (No one seems to like this very much)

Hmm without cheating and looking up previous posts where you may have already provided some clues here is what comes to find first:

Allie, Lucy (love this one btw), Emma and:

Maggie, Grace, Isla, Jane, Josie, Georgia, Claire, Charlotte, Kate, Julia

Henry, James, Will, Owen, Quinn, Charlie, Evan, Finn, Ian

    Any come close?

I like it but “Garden of..” references would get old fast. I like Arden a lot better

Meaning: unimportant. It would have to be a Really bad meaning for it to be the deal breaker
Ethnicity : very important. My kids will automatically have an Italian ln but are half Irish too and I want a name that reflects that.
Initials : unimportant. Like meaning , they’d have to be really bad to be a deal breaker. So far I haven’t had any issues with my combos and the Initials they create.
Flow & how it goes with others: are both the most important to me. Also the Current issue I am having.
Uniqueness : not important. If I love a name I don’t care if it is ranked in the top 10 or #300 (but somewhere in between would be good) lol
Ease of spelling /pronunciation : unimportant. Must Irish names are difficult to spell or pronounce but I’ve realized people learn quickly. Names like liam, declan, siobhan, Deirdre, Kiera… Are all names that got butchered 20 years ago but are now common knowledge and even popular!

Bonton Pearl. (for a boy) the parents said they just made it up!
I also went to school with a William Williams. (And here I am worried about starting or ending a fn with the same letter as our last… Haha)

Congratulations, I was scrolling through posts from before I joined and feel bad i didn’t realize you were pregnant! I love your original list! Ronan, William and Rory are my favorites (Ronan is my #1 but hubby doesn’t like it :() I agree with others.. William or Leo goes best with Charlie.
How do you pronounce Amelie? The only one I don’t think is a good fit with Charlie would be Leah bc of the similarity. I love Charlie & Tessa or Charlie & Georgia as a sibset though. And I am partial to Lauren because it is my own name :p I have a Co worker with a 2yr old daughter named Lauren and even though I love my name, I must admit I think it sounds a bit dated for a child now :/

Thanks for the suggestions and for reminding me not to worry too much about honoring everyone. You’re right, can’t cover everyone in one name and hopefully there will be opportunities to use the others!
Violet Mairead was my favorite but I’m liking Marie or Mary a lot now too.
Even though John is my favorite MN choice Donovan August sounds the best in my opinion, I’ll see what the hubby thinks tho.

Oh really? We pronounce it Mayv so the last sound you hear is a V and with our last name the first sound is F as in Frank :/

Ok so it seems like Violet & Donovan are the favorites. The only other boy name we agree on that I didn’t mention was Trevor? (we obviously have a thing for V’s lol).
Next comes the middle names that I’d love suggestions for / help with pairing up. We would like the MN to be after someone. Here is our name bank, fire away!!
    Girls :
Margaret: my mom, best friend and god daughter are all Margarets. However, none of them like their name… So variations of Margaret is welcome. My favorite is the gaelic version, Mairead (Ma-Raid).

Josephine : After my grandma. I think Josie is darling even as a fn. Only problem is I’m worried about offending my other grandma Dorothy, whose name I dislike and haven’t found a suitable variation for.

Janet/Linda/Mary: my husband’s mother and grandmother’s. I love Jane! I also like my MN, Marie, which covers Mary?

    Boys:

John: my husband’s father and my grandfather. Covers two bases! But rhymes with Donovan :/

William : my father and brother

Forde: my mother’s maiden name so it covers lots of ppl and I always thought it kind of cool.

August: my husband’s grandfather who recently passed. I think it’s a great name and it would be after a great man but my husband doesn’t want to use it without using his other grandfather’s name, Frank, which I don’t particularly like and I never met that grandfather

    Oh shucks…
Tara is one of my favorites from your list! No, I don’t think Tara & Taryn would be an issue. Who knows-maybe they’ll have a special bond because of it!? I have multiple first cousins (hence the Taras) with the same name and they are always around each other or, in some cases, even live in the same house! It can be confusing, but no more confusing than having a Jr. and plenty of people still do that! Hope that helps.

I like Everett a lot! And you could still use Rhett as a nn, no? Graham and Grant are runner ups in my opinion. Of the girls so far I like Isla & Charlotte best.

I do think Eliana as a fn is too close to the Eleanors but in the middle it would be perfect! Genevieve is Beautiful and I can’t think of anything wrong with the initials Gem!
