this is a great name. ive never heard of it but i got the pronunciation. i live in a spanish speaking area though. it may get butchered but its still a good name. i wouldnt go using a non traditional spelling. that will only make it more complicated for the spanish side. mattias is similar and more familiar if you want to be a bit safer.

omg i just logged on here to post about this name. you beat me to it. i met a beautiful girl the other day named elyse. i love it. i prefer the elise spelling. i think its so pretty, uncommon yet not weird, classy and sophisticated sounding. more appealing than julia. i wonder what sibling names could be paired with it.

pretty sound but i dont like it if its not a real name. i believe adora is a real name. so id use that or adelina. if the last name starts with ad too i think it would not flow if both names started with the same sound. like for example adora adderly or adelina adair. not terrible but contrast is good.

this is so interesting. im curious when children go to school what is everyone named nowadays. you can look at the charts but i feel thats not always accurate. there are alot of unique names on this list which is so nice to see.

i think its nice. i like unique names ending in a. i dont see it at all as a male name. id pronounce it uh-DA-lee-a. it makes me think of adalia rose who is a girl with progeria. shes on youtube.

i say it with the mara rhyming with sarah. ta-MAR-a

i heard of someone with this name and pronounced it ta-MAR-a with the mar rhyming with star

TAM-uh-ra is not a pretty pronunciation

    - Olivia- i love it. its feminine but strong and not frilly. i love the cute nn livy and the cool more grown up nn liv. the only two things i dont like about this name are olives.. thats a weird thing to be named after. and the popularity.
    - Nora (french) love this too
    - Delphine (french) not a fan. the first thing i think of is delphine on american horror story. which should not ruin this name! but it sounds kind of old fashioned. would be a great middle name
    - Clary- dont like this. but love claire
    - Beatrice- cool name but not a fav
    - Analeigh- i think this is so pretty. i slightly prefer annaleigh. some people have said it reminds them of anally
    - Demelza- to out there for me
    - Simone- eh ok. i like it more as a middle name

i dont really think much of it. i pronounce it like sicily but it doesnt remind me of the place. i think cecelia is prettier. but i dont love that either. i think cecily is cool and vintagey sounding and could come into fashion. it kind of sounds like silly. but not really. its a useable name.
