Gaamy…I will turn 31 in four weeks. Delaney asked me the other day…”Did they make sunscreen when you were a kid?” Really?!….this question was in response to my GRANDPA saying they didn’t really have it when he was a kid…he’s 74. -.-
I went to a restaurant with my family for my grandma’s b-day earlier this year. I was sitting at the end of the table with some my younger cousins (12-15). Down at the other end my step-dad took out his cell phone (not sure why, didn’t hear that part of the convo) and my uncles made a comment (jokingly giving him crap) about how old the phone is (it’s a flip phone, from probably 4 years ago), which got my end of the table talking about previous model phones we’ve had. So of course my first phone is mentioned and I’m telling them how much bulkier it was compared to the ones out these days. One of them asked what grade I was in when I got it, so I told them I didn’t have it until a year or so after HS, and that hardly anyone had a cell phone until my junior year. Before that, if you wanted to get a hold of someone you called their house, if they weren’t home you paged them, if they had a pager. Then, after a few seconds and some blank looks, the youngest said “Like the things that restaurants give you to let you know when your table is ready?” and I had to explain what a pager was.
