What's your favorite workout?

    Is it something you do at home, in the gym, a video, etc?? I’d just like to see what everyone does for exercise. :)

    Rowing machine (at home) or walking outside. I do some strength training too (push-ups, squats, light arm weights), but only sporadically. How did that super-intense workout you were trying out in Dec go? I don’t remember what it was called.

    I really love going on long walks/hikes outside. Happily, my son has inherited my love of walking and exploring. Now that it’s winter, I go to the gym and other than some time on the treadmill, I lift weights and jump rope. I don’t find the gym to be that much fun, so I mix it up to keep from being bored and exercise outside whenever we have a decent weather day.

    These are things I have really enjoyed in the past, but am not doing at the moment for whatever reason:

    - Running
    - Yoga
    - Tennis
    - Racquetball
    - Swimming laps
    - Tae Kwon Do

    i like to swim above all else, but now tha ti live int he north you get fewer months out of the year that you can swim. :(

    i really like yoga and i recently went joggin for the 1st time ever and found i rather enjoyed it.

    Oh I’d like to try a rowing machine sometime Embra!! My husband and I did Insanity. I lost 13-14 pounds since the end of October. Right now we are doing Jillian’s 30 day shred (we’ll be done with that in 4 more weeks) and then we are going to start the new P90x3.

    Thanks! It’s exciting! I would still like to lose about 40 more but that would be getting to an ultimate goal weight that might not exactly be realistic.

    I stick pretty much to the treadmill.

    Great job, Kendra! I’ve done 30DS before. It was great! Helped me get back into shape post-baby.

    Right now I mostly run. I keep trying to find ways to incorporate strength training that I will stick with and not hate. ;) Some friends were doing the Bikini Body Mommy 90 Day Challenge and while I’ve never been a bikini wearer ;) I decided to try it. I’ve made it through 8 days so far! I’m going to skip a few days to catch up with my friends.

    I’ve always been into running but I recently started long distance running in preparation for a marathon in October I’m signed up for. I’ve been running 9 to 14 miles a couple times a week. I’ve also been riding my bike 10 miles a day (to the transit center in the am and from the transit center home at night).

    I’m feeling like the 30 Day Shred just isn’t high enough impact for me. Weight loss has plateaued. We might go back to month one of Insanity.
