i’m 11 weeks today!! yay! i had my first doc appt a couple of weeks ago, and mentioned how i wanted a vbac. he said that we could definitely try for one but there are risks involved. i’ve been researching it, and it’s starting to scare me, esp the hubby. he would rather i just a have a c-section now. but there are risks no matter how you deliver a baby.

    how did your vbac go?
did you end up having a c-section?
how many c-sections does your hospital allow?

I’ve only given birth once and it was vaginally, though I had to switch drs to one who was willing to deliver a breech second twin to lower my odds of a C-section. I know some moms who have had great VBAC experiences. I know part of it depends on your personal risk factors (if you’re a good candidate for a VBAC) along with your dr’s level of experience and comfort level with VBACs. If you’re a good candidate and it’s important to you, it might not hurt to see if there are OBs in your area with a good amount of VBAC experience since like you said, each option has its risks and benefits to weigh.

I had a vbac and my experience was great. I had to be induced by filly bulb but once they took it out i was 7cm and time flew after that. I pushed like 3 times amd she popped right out lol. My csection experience was terrible and i def wanted to experience vaginal delivery. Make sure your doc knows your serious about it and dont be afraid. The thought of pushing a baby out is intimidating but its worth it! Good luck :)
