Vacation from your Vacation

I love having a vacation. Just my fiance and went down to the cities for two nights and three days. We left thursday got to the hotel about 2:30. Went to the Mall of America (we walked three levels all the way around). Did mostly window shopping and ate dinner.
Friday we went to the Crystal Caves. Which I didn’t know is an hour long tour of walking through caves. It was interesting but tiring. Then went to see his sister and and went to dinner. We felt bad that we only spent like 3 hours with them and had dinner and drove back to the hotel.
Saturday we got up and checked out of the hotel then met my cousin and his friend at Mall of America again and had lunch and went to the aquarium at the mall. And went around and did the actual shopping at MOA.
We finally left the mall at 3:30 is for home. Which is a 3 and a half hour drive.

So we had a fun vacation but it was so tiring I feel like I need to have a relaxing vacation after our vacation. Does anyone else have this feeling after a vacation?

Sorry I know it’s not real interesting. I just needed to talk about it.

Haha yes. DH and I just got back from 2 days/3 nights in Myrtle Beach. It was WONDERFUL (and slower paced than your trip) but when I got back, I had to immediately take the boys to a birthday party and then come home and unpack, unload the dishwasher, do laundry, etc., while keeping my boys (who missed their nap for the party) entertained. And DH had to go to work! I would love a day off before diving back into reality. ;)

I always feel like that! A vacation is a good change in pace from the “norm” but definitely way more tiring than just staying at home.

Yep- vacations can be much more exhausting than day-to-day life. The travelling aspect alone, by plane or by car, can wear you out. Just wait until you have a kid or two to take along. :) Something about running through airport terminals carrying a 35 pound kid over your shoulder that does a number on a person. Not to mention refereeing on-flight arguments over who gets which seat, piggyback rides when their little feet are too tired to continue, and trying to get kids to sleep in a hotel room before 11 p.m. Then you come home to mountains of laundry. :)

I am glad you had such a nice time – sounds wonderful :)
I always need a vacation from vacation – it gets worse when you have kids ;)
