Hi there. I am looking for some name choices that aren’t very popular. But slightly trendy I suppose. I want a name that is uncommon but not too out there. For example, some names that I like are:

    Keiryn
    Pierson
    Oakley
    Brinley
    Reeve
    Briar
    Maven

Thanks so much! It’s so nice to get some fresh ideas :)

Pierson never heard of this but i like it for a boy
Oakley dont like for either gender. sounds more like a pet name
Brinley not my favorite style but this works on a girl
Reeve loove this for a boy

I’m assuming these are for girls? Since Briar and Maven I’ve only hear on girls. The oters all scream Boy though. Unisex names or boy names on girls are not my style at all.

I like Keiran for a boy, or Keira for a girl. The -ryn spelling makes it look more feminine, but also a lot more confusing when said aloud.
Pierson and Oakley I think of as surnames only. Also, -son names are all male to me. For a boy I think Oakley could e kind of cute, but I don’t like it for a girl.
Brinley is okay, I like just Brynn for a girl a lot more though.
Reeve sounds like it should be a boys name. I like Reese/Rhys better, though. I think those are both pretty well known yet not overly popular, while Reeve will be misheard as Reese a lot.
I LOVE Briar for a girl. Too princess-y for a boy. It’s so pretty, and something everyone’s heard but isn’t very common.
Maven I think is kind of cool – thogh I’ve only ever really heard it used in a fantasy video game (and that character was kind of cruel and manipulative). I don’t think that would be too common of an association, but it does feel a little fantasy-ish. I do like just Maeve also. Or maybe Marren?

    Hey!
    Thanks everyone for your input.
I guess I should have specified which names were girls and which were boys.

    Girls

    Oakley
    Brinley
    Briar
    Keiryn

    Boys

    Pierson
Maven (although I’ve changed my mind on this one)
    Reeve

I am just so stuck as to finding more names along the lines of these ones. I want the names to be slightly different but not too out there. And older names are not my style at all.
    It’s tough!!
