I really like it. A name I would think of using if it wasn’t too difficult for Danes to pronounce. I like the nick name options as well.

I love Timothy! I think it ages well, and it’s not too popular here in the UK (only 160 in 2012). The only downside is that I dislike Tim and Timmy, which are quite obvious nicknames. Otherwise it’s a great name.

Hm. I like it because I like the nickname Tim, and Timmy’s cute on a kid. But then, the fact that it has “moth” in it really does not appeal to me…. I don’t think there’s any other way to get Tim/Timmy, and I think it’s a solid, well-known but a little underused name. I just don’t think I’d personally use it….

@TheWishingStar, I have to admit the “moth” part puts me off it a little too. But I like the biblical connection and I’ve known some good Tims, Timmys and Timothys.

I worked with a Timothy (Tim) that was a good guy. I remember him saying once that he got a lot of “Timmy the Tooth” comments. It’s not my favorite name, but it don’t hate it either…pretty neutral.

Ps. I never really noticed the moth part of it until you guys pointed it out :-/. Now, it’s all I see. Lol
