Time is ticking and I need advice

I dont know the gender, but I had a feeling it was a boy, now im second guessing myself. I have a name picked out for a boy. Camden Lee Walker-Travers. But if its a girl, im clueless. My maiden name is harper. I always wanted to recycle it and use it for my little girl. Ever since I was 8. Now its extremely popular. So I thought about using it as a middle name. I want the girls first name to start with a M anyways for her dad. So I was thinking Mckenna Harper Walker-Travers. Thoughts? And I know its all surnames. I didnt know Mckenna was. Never heard it before. To me, its just another girls name. I want opinions, I just need help trying to settle. Thank you!

I love that Harper has special meaning. McKenna Harper has a great flow and McKenna is very pretty. I agree with yellow watts, I would spell it Makenna, especially if you are worried about it looking too much like a surname.
I like the above suggestion of Madeline. My favorite M names: Maeve & McKenzie

I have considered Makenna strongly. My SO thinks “Mckenna” is better because it has a “M” and “C” in the front since his name starts with M and mine with a C lol hes silly, but im thinking Makenna may soften it and is more feminine. I love yalls suggestions, ill need to refer back im sure, because im the world’s most indecisive person ever.

It does sound surnamey to me but all “Mc/Mac” names do, though they have been trendy for girls’ names for a while so I think fewer people have that association now. I agree that spelling it Makenna can make it seem less surnamey as well.

Makenna is OK but I really like the suggestions of Malia, Molly, Maiah, Mariah, or Melody.

Yes, we’ve settled on Camden Lee for sure for the boy and Mckenna Harper for sure with the girl. I didnt want to keep the Mc but my SO made a point with what it meant to him and its all about compromise so we did. I like the spelling Mckenna anyways, so no hard feelings there. The only thing we’ve got left with the whole name thing that we haven’t been able to agree on is if we should capitalize the “k” in Mckenna. So Mckenna or McKenna. Other than that, we settled on those. :)

That’s great that you were able to get things settled!
I think McKenna looks better in a way but Mckenna might be simpler so she’s not always having to say “with a capital ‘K.’”

Another thought, McKenna does make it look more surnamey so that might be another reason to go with Mckenna.

My thoughts exactly! Thats both of the points I made to my SO and he is just so stubborn. He think McKenna is legit lol he thinks it makes it cooler. But I think ive made my point with Mckenna. Its more of a first name without the capital k and nobody would spell it right. So theres just no logical reason for the capital K.

We decided on Mckenna. :) He finally listened! Lol. If shes born and doesnt look like a Mckenna…my alternative is Maxine. And the boys name is set. I just know he’ll be my little Cam. THANK YOU ALL! <3
