We’ve got the top 10 list here in this article, but I am working on adding more in-depth info to the article and will let you know when I update it!

What do you guys think? Have any onions? Have you looked through the whole Top 1000 lists yet? Found anything interesting?

Curious to hear what you all think! This day is like Christmas to a name nerd!

thats cool. im surprised jacob was number 1 for 14 years. ive only met one Jacob in my whole life. hes in his early 20s. i dont know many little kids though now a days. i dont love any of the top ten boys names so thats good. the girls however are so appealing. sophia, isabella, olivia, mia are all so pretty. i can see why many people use them. but they become unappealing to name lovers because they are so highly ranked. i feel like if u choose a rare name though, many people wont like it. hard to judge how to pick a name.. what are your top names anabel? curious at how you go about naming.

Girls names aren’t too surprising, nothing looks like it really changed? Isabella and Olivia switched? But wow, Noah and Liam jumped! I feel like I haven’t heard Noah used in ages, I always forget it’s so popular. Mason too, though. I’ve never met a Mason, ever, but it’s been up there for a while.

They all bore me.. I can’t believe how high Liam is when 20-30yrs.ago my cousin got sooo made fun of for it (it’s probably those same bullies naming their kids Liam now haha).

I haven’t gotten to take it apart, but I don’t really study it nearly so much as I did about 3-5 years ago. I did notice that Isabelle jumped 11 spots (which, I’m glad that means that it’s not over the hill, but I really hope it doesn’t enter the top 100 in the next couple of years!), and that Caleb and Jack stayed about the same. I’m sort of worried parents are starting to concede Avery to the girls (still in the boys’ top 200, but it dropped about 10 spots), and I think Everett climbed a good deal. Most of my unlisted favorites (Emmeline, Arianne, Eleni) are still unlisted, although Winter is now in the top 1000. It cracked me up when I saw Mila on the list. I didn’t think it was THAT high yet, although I expected it to be in a couple years. I think it’ll go top 10, certainly. A coworker of mine named her daughter Mila Addison, snubbing her nose at Sophia and Olivia and Isabella, and the whole time I was just thinking, ha! Just wait till Mila’s 5, and then you’ll see… Maybe we won’t even have to wait that long, lol. I am so beyond over Mila already. :/ But ugh, my sister loves it. :(

I’m so sad Noah is now #1–it’s dropped off my list due to the popularity, but I was hoping if it dropped in popularity, one day I’d add it again. I sort of doubt that’ll ever happen now, although I do love Noah as a middle, still. :(

Surprisingly, I wasn’t bothered by how utterly high up Charlotte is, though. Maybe it’s because I know she’s jumping. But I think I will be sad if she ever makes the top 10. :( I just love everything about her, despite the popularity.

Has anyone seen one of the lists yet that combine all the spelling variants to come up with the “true” top 10? Aiden and its variants ended up at the top, Jackson was close behind, and I forget all the others but Noah and Liam were a little further down on that list. I always think that one is interesting to see too.
