Hey gals! So nice to be able to reconnect over here — I was devastated when they shut down the last message boards!

So.. During my time away, I’ve fallen in love with the name Stella. I just need help with the perfect middle name. Here’s my current list of ideas.

Stella Luna (Luna means moon, as does my mother’s name)
    Stella Jacqueline
    Stella Kathryn
    Stella Claire
    Stella Kate
    Stella Arden
    Stella Camille
    Stella Caroline
    Stella Noelle
    Stella Paisley
    Stella Audrey
    Stella Charlotte
    Stella Violet

WDYT of the above combinations, and do you have any other suggestions?

    Thanks ladies :)

I like that name too! I do find Stella Luna a little hard to say, same with Stella Noelle. My favorites of those middle names are Kathryn, Claire, Camille, Kate, and Caroline.

Good to see you over here! :)
I think my favorite combos are Stella Jacqueline, Stella Kathryn, Stella Camille or Stella Caroline.

    Stella’s so pretty!!!

I really like Stella Catherine, Stella Charlotte, or Stella Caroline.

I also really love the name Luna, but Stella Luna seems over the top to me. It’s basically Star Moon! Way too outer-space-y to me. Also, I know there’s a childrens’ book about a bat that was pretty popular when I was little called Stellaluna. It was really cute, but that combination definitely brings it to mind. I don’t know how common that book is nowadays, though….

Oh my goodness, @TheWishingStar, I didn’t know Stella meant star. I guess I should do a little more research. :) I am not into outer-spacey stuff, lol. Maybe Stella itself will be a nice way to kind of honor my mother – her name is Cynthia, which means moon, which is why I liked Luna. But the stars and the moon are related, so it’ll work. ;) Thanks for pointing that out! I actually did see the book Stellaluna online, but I’ve never read it, so I didn’t worry too much about the tie.

Yeah, Stella’s the Latin and modern Italian word for star – think the English word stellar. It’s really pretty, though, and not unusual as a name, so I don’t think of it as super space-y unless it’s with another similar name. And I do think it could work like Luna to honor your mother!
