my husband and i are finally TTC this year!! our daughter, evangeline, is 1.5 yr old.

what boy and girl names would you pair up with evangeline? we just can’t find any names that is as great as evangeline. we prefer longer names since we only have a 2 letter last name. no middle name, his family doesn’t have them.

i picked evangelne out, he had NO say. every name i bring up has so far been crossed off since he associates it with EVERYTHING!

i say theodore, he says like the president?
i say natalie, he says like the girl that went missing?

i want him more involved this time around but i just might pick a name without his approval again.

For girls, I think Alisondra, Delilah, Clarissa, Adrianna, Persephone, or Calliope would work. For boys I like Gabriel, Elijah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Xavier, or Phineas.

    Such a great name!!

    Girl suggestions:
    Liliana (or Lillian)
    Seraphina
    Anneliese

    Boy suggestions:
    Desmond
    Sebastian
    Oliver
    Dominic
    Hudson
    Nathaniel

By the way, since Evangeline is on my girl list, can I ask, what kind of responses do you get to her name? Any pros/cons to the name?

i love seraphina, just don’t like nn sera(sara). sebastian, oliver, dominic are taken by family members.

pro–everyone compliments the name. they love her nn, evie even more.
con–everyone assume it’s -line. we go with -leen pronunciation.

My cousin’s name is Evangeline. Her siblings are Clancey Rathjens (Rathjens is my aunt’s grandmother’s maiden name), Michal Ellyn-Elizabeth (Female), MacGregor James, Evangeline Gracia and Jackson Daniel.

    I think Elizabeth would work.
I’m not very good with sibsets I kinda feel like you should choose names based on your taste not what sounds good with the other name.

The Seraphina I knew was called ‘Phina for short, but mostly she was called by her full name so that might be an option if you do like it.

I agree than Phina/Fina could be a great nn as opposed to Sera.
