im going through a phase where i like the name sara. i think its pretty, easy to say and spell, classic, ages well, has a good meaning. it is biblical which i dont care for but its a timeless name that i dont think screams biblical like the name hezekiah for example. my concerns are

does it sound boring? i think it does.

and its more commonly spelled sarah. i prefer it with out the h but i dont know if this would make it annoying. i pronounce sara and sarah the same. i know in other languages sara is pronounced differently.

what are your thoughts on sara?

I like Sara. I think its pretty and I don’t find it boring in the least bit. I prefer the most popular spelling, Sarah, though. Mainly because its is found more often throughout history spelled that way…and I love those historical connections.

I like Sara. I like both spellings, but I prefer Sarah on an actual person, but I like the personality I see with Sara more–it seems more bubbly, more friendly, more confident. Sarah is sweet, lovable, but sort of doubts herself, too. I met the cutest little girl named Sarah a couple years ago and it made me fall in love with it all over again, though! It was so popular around when I was born, but it’s so timeless, too. Sarah has been in use for ages. I would love to have a niece named Sarah. :)

I like it. Simple, timeless, and pretty. I don’t associate it with the Bible at all, even though it’s an old enough name I’m sure it’s in there.
I do much prefer Sarah, though, it’s more classic, has more history, and it just looks better to me. Plus, as it’s more common, people default to that spelling, so it will be misspelled less often. I do pronounce them the same usually, but I know more than one Sara who says it more like SAH-ruh than SAIR-uh, so I feel like Sarah avoids any pronunciation troubles better. But either way, it’s a pretty name.

that’s my sister’s (Sarah) name. i dont think it’s boring at all, but to me it always looks incomplete w/o the “h”

I love it! I would be tempted to use it if it weren’t rhymey with my last name. (And
I also have a sister named Sarah so that may bias me toward the Sarah spelling. :)
