Ruby vs. Claire?

I’ve pretty much decided that Eva Madelief is to be my Evie combo, but I can’t seem to decide on the second middle, which will honor family. I’ve got it down to two options (Eva Madelief Ruby, or Eva Madelief Claire). I like Eva Madelief Ruby best as a combo, but I am in love with the nn possibilities with Claire (Evie-Claire, Eva Clara, Eve-Claire…). I’ve been in love with the idea of Eve-Claire for a really long time, and was pretty set on Claire being the family name with Eva for just that reason, so I could use Eve-Claire occasionally, but I like the transition between Madelief Ruby much better than with Madelief Claire. (le sigh!)

Anyway, which do you prefer? Eva Madelief Ruby, or Eva Madelief Claire?

both names are cute but i like claire better. i love the nn evie but i cant decide on a full name for it. not to crazy about eve, eva, evelyn. i like evangeline but cant decide if its too grand. and i think evie is too cutsey on its own. madelief looks very strange to me. ive never heard of this variation. eva madeleine/madeline claire is great.

Definitely Ruby. I love both names on their own, but Ruby sounds so much nicer with Eva Madelief.
I’m with Kimiha about Madelief, though. I have heard it before, and I’ve always thought it was pretty bizarre to English-speakers. It’s probably fine for a middle name, but it’s definitely not my style.

I actually prefer the flow of Claire better. :)

I really prefer the flow of Claire better, too. They are both pretty names.

    Claire or…

Though, I thank maybe a hyphenated combo would be pretty too.

    Eva Madelief Ruby-Claire

    Ruby-Claire sounds very nice spoken.

In other cultures there can be a multiple list of names (Russian is one example). So why not combine!
