    1. Hand towel. I change it every few days.
    2. Very frequently. Usually daily. I’m paranoid about spreading things like salmonella.
    3. We all use ours about 4-5 times before changing.
    4. Weekly, usually. At least I try to!
    5. It varies. Usually tops I’ll only wear once because they feel gross, but pants or shorts I’ll wear a few times. I make Morgan wear hers twice.

let me preface this by saying i spent the 1st 12 years of my life with a clean freak.

    1. paper towel or wash cloths. i have a huge collection of wash cloths so they can get changed out a few times a day.

    2. i use a “dobe pad.” it gets put in the dishwasher everytime i run it.
    3. 2-3 times a week
    4. every 2 weeks. i wash the pillows once a month. i’m told this is not normal
    5. 2-3

    1. Hand towels (our paper towels are reserved for gross emergencies only). They get changed out once a week, more if someone is sick.
    2. We don’t have a kitchen washcloth. For scrubbing the sink I have a sponge I put in the dishwasher each time I use it. To clean counters, I get a cloth out of the drawer then toss it in the laundry basket. If I’m just wiping crumbs or water, I’ll just leave it out and use it again before washing.
    3. Once a week.
    4. Not nearly enough.
    5. Ethan wears his once or twice depending on how long he wore them. Those lazy day pjs tend to only get worn once since he plays on the floor in them. I wash my pajamas whenever they seem dirty. Sometimes they get worn once, sometimes many times.

    1. hand towels. Usually we just use the bath towels that are hanging on the shower. As gross as it sounds they get thrown down when they hit the floor. If they fall they’re done or if they smell they’re done.
    2. Again when it gets dirty. (this is horrible to admit but I don’t do dishes so I don’t know)
    3. For me. The towel is a body towel twice and hair towel twice then is a bathmat until there is another towel to be a bath mat.
    4. I try to every week it’s usually more like every other week.
    5. Depends. Three or Four.

    I feel so gross.

It’s so nice to see that people aren’t afraid to reuse their bath towels! I’ve seen internet discussions about this where people act like you are beyond nasty if you use it more than once or twice.

Magster – my H’s aunt and uncle (and their 3 children) only use 1 towel each day – for the whole family. Like who ever showers first uses the towel and then each person shares that same towel and then they get a new one for the next day.
That is the only time where I was a bit grossed out at a bath towel discussion

LOL. That is kind of gross! Like, what if you leave a stray pube in the towel that a child now has to use? Gross. And we all surely have our own patterns down so we’re not drying our faces where yesterday we dried our behinds, and you wouldn’t have that confidence in using one used by another person!

Do they throw it in the dryer between people or what? Or shower at completely different times throughout the day so it has time to hang-dry? Okay, I’m giving this way too much thought! lol

omg sara that is GROSS. when my SDs moved in with is i had to start keeing our towels in our room for two reasons, 1.b/c they will use whatever towel is in there. they go for the driest one in the bathroom, no matter who has used it to dry thier privates. i even told them Gigi is VERY thorough. you dont want to use a towel after her. they dont care. and 2. they NEVER hang up their towels so they cant reuse them. they have gone through ten towels in a week.

My MIL and I have discussed this because we were so grossed out by it. As far as I know the last person who uses it has a pretty wet towel. H’s Aunt says whatever is on her mind. She is very *simple* (very sweet and nice but very innocent?) Anyway they were talking about towels and how MIL just bought new ones and the aunt just goes on like it was nothing. The kids are 9, 11, and 13 – I would have had a fit at that age.
