Patrick nn Pax?

WDYT of this, ladies? I saw Pax yesterday and was reminded of how very much I love it, and I’ve always liked the idea of Patrick nn Pax. Any other ways to get to Pax besides Paxton? I love the meaning of “peace”, but Paxton isn’t really for me. Someone suggested Pascal nn Pax to me, too, which I like, but I think at this point I prefer Patrick. It feels more “me”.

Would you be happy to meet a little Pax?

    Thanks, ladies!

Ehh, I love Patrick, a LOT, but Pax is super unappealing to me. I would definitely assume it was short for Paxton if I met one; Patrick I can kinda see it working, but I love Patrick so much as a full name, or with just Pat as the nickname, that Pax seems…wrong. Also, I feel like PAX is some sort of big convention, too, I hear it around online a lot. Maybe a video game thing? But when I see Pax, I assume it should be an acronym for something, not really a name. So, I’m not crazy about it. I agree that Patrick totally fits your style, but the nickname Pax just does not work well for me….

Do I think Pax could be a nn for Patrick? Yes. Do I like name Pax? Meh.
I agree with thewishingstar that it kind of sounds like an acronym (think LAX airport).

I agree with rylane. I mean, it’s kind of cute as a casual nn but not as appealing to me if that’s what he goes by.

Really? I don’t know why, I just assumed Pax would be more loved on here. I know not everyone loves Pax (I feel like a lot of name nerds don’t love Pax), but I love that it means peace and it has a lot of good associations for me, to my sister, and old friends, and my choir days and such. Maybe it’s the lingual-nerd part of me that finds Pax so appealing?

I like it! I don’t like Paxton either and not crazy about it as a nn for Patrick though :/ I think it could work on its own (isn’t Angelina Jolie’s son just Pax)?
Parker & Pierce are the only P names I like, but not sure if you could stretch Pax from those either
