I thought it would be nice to share ideas for birthday parties……….

We did Mickey Mouse Club house
My dad drew stand up pictures of the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, and Pete)
We did a piñata with Mickey on it
    Freeze dance
A memory game with large pictures of the characters
    Ring Toss
My SIL carried around a toodles we made with cardboard with pictures of the items they would need for each game, children had to call toodles like they do on the cartoon! (the piñata stick was the mystery Mousekatool!)
Hotdogs was the food and we played the hot dog song!

This is the party I was most proud of!

Care to share what you did at your kids parties?

Wow! That sounds amazing! We just have our parties at a nearby park. The kids climb on the playground equipment and tear around the field with balls and other outdoor toys that we provide as favors. We order pizza and I make a cake. Also, I blow up balloons, which last about 5 minutes. Until my kids get old enough to start asking for something more, I’m going with this. My daughter wants a Frozen theme this year though. Small details keep getting casually dropped into conversation, like, “We can hang the piñata from that tree!” Wait, are we getting a piñata? I’m a little worried about what other details are floating around in her head that won’t get revealed until the party starts. Where is the snow machine, Mama?

Ethan is turning five on Sunday and wanted an animal themed party. It’s pretty basic. We have a big lion pinata filled with candy and little animal items. He also wanted to do pin the tail on the donkey. Other than that, it’s just animal balloons and streamers, animal plates and napkins, animal wrappers on the cupcakes, etc.

I keep looking for a like button! :/

I have lots of ideas for a Frozen themed party, but I think my nephew is doing a frozen theme for his daughter! I’d be afraid to out do him, because then every year we would end up in a battle of who does a better party! (Not that I would want to!) I would have to hide my theme ideas from him so he does not try to steal them if I did do a Frozen theme with them doing it too! So to stay way from those troubles, I will do a Mario themed party this year!

If you ever played Mario Party video games….
I have party favor boxes with Mario and Luigi! Will be buying fillers for boxes soon with things you see in Mario games, like stars, gumba’s, and the like!
We are going to recreate some of the mini games from the video games for the kids to play! And serve Mario brothers Spaghetti O’s! (Spaghetti O’s has Mario shaped pasta’s available!) Mario and Luigi are Italian in the video game, and the old show! So pasta and pizza will be the foods served! So, this years party may turn into one of my favorites too!

    Cute ideas!

My boys’ last two parties were both at My Gym. The teachers did a GREAT job as party hosts; lots of fun activity for the kiddos!

Before that, for their 3rd birthday it was a pretty informal party, almost more like a play date. Lots of food, their easel set up so kids could draw on both sides (we put a big Happy Birthday, Will poster on one side and a Happy Birthday, Alex poster on the other that all the kids then drew/colored on :) ), balloons and toys to play with.
