Overly Tired

I have been crazy tired lately.

Yesterday I woke up at 11:30 after sleeping for over 12 hours (not solid but pretty close) then got up and ready for work. worked from 2-4:30 got home ate and fell back asleep from 5:15 to 7:45. I then went back to sleep at 11 and slept soundly until 5 and then woke up and made myself stay up until I worked at 8:30 got done at 11:00 and now it’s not even 11:30 and all I want to do is go back to sleep.

Don’t get me wrong I love sleep but I feel so lazy but I literally would fall asleep standing up. I was reading Logan a book while working today and at the end of every page I was yawning and could barely keep my eyes open.

Anyone dealt with this and what do you do?

    two thoughts….
Is there any chance you could be pregnant?
Also have you had your thyroid checked?

I’m not pregnant I just had my period. That’s the first thing my mom asked too. I had my thyroid checked less than six months ago and she said everything looked fine. My Vitamin D was low but I’ve been taking Over 10,000 units of Vitamin D a day though.

Myself, I would do a pregnancy test anyway! I had my period a month after conceiving my daughter! So we were off with the due date because we calculated from my last cycle!

I’d go to a doctor and get a complete physical. Lots of things can make you tired – pregnancy or thyroid issues like pp suggested, low iron/anemia, fighting a virus, chronic fatigue syndrome, major depression, heart issues, sleep disturbances (like sleep apnea). Without being seen by a doctor, it would be hard to know what is going on. Good luck!

I don’t want to go to the doctor because all they ever do is tell me to lose weight and exercise. How do I exercise when I’m too tired to walk idk. I think I’ll take a pregnancy test tomorrow just to make sure because I’ve been having other symptoms too.

All doctors and pretty much everyone seems to view it as I’m just lazy and that’s why I don’t do anything.

If one of your other symptoms is that you are peeing all the time, you should go to a doctor for sure to get your fasting glucose levels checked. Fatigue is also a possible diabetes symptom – treatable if caught, but dangerous if not treated.

I would go to a dr too if you’ve noticed a sudden increase in fatigue compared to your usual. Hopefully with it being a recent change they would do some updated tests. I have experienced that before, including a few months ago but haven’t found a “fix” yet. I’m pretty sure for me it’s a side effect of a new med I started in October but I might just have to deal with it. I’ve also heard taking Vitamin B12 can help with energy levels. And I need to start going to bed earlier! (As I type this at 11:52 p.m. …)

I did the Atkins diet a little while back (only for about 3 weeks because it caused too many issues) but I will say that I have had more energy than I have ever had and the mornings I got up to walk before starting my day helped.
I am starting back on Weight Watchers on Tuesday and I will be incorporating some of the aspects of Atkins because it was so nice to have more energy

I’m not sure. I took a test and not pregnant.

I’m getting a little better but still sleepy. We’ll see how tomorrow goes I work from 7-5 tomorrow and then I’m going out with my DF and some friends.

Hope it clears up for you soon! I do have more energy if I eat lower carb/higher protein.

I’m doing better. We didn’t go out last night. But I was awake from 5:30-midnight. I did sleep to 10:30 this morning though. I think it may have just been from blood loss during my period.

I think as you feel so sleepy so this may also be a reason that you are gaining weight. But what you said is you really have to consult doctor how long can you carry yourself this way.
