I love Lyla and Maddalena (though that wouldn’t be my preferred spelling for either of them).

I just came across a little girl named Analy. Rather unfortunate spelling of what could be a pretty name. :/ (I like Annaleigh.)

I love Lyla too, but not that spelling. Ouch Analy is very unfortunate..I like Annaliese but would specifically spell it with two n’s to avoid that exact problem

lcd, I agree; I love Annaliese/Anneliese, too, but you definitely need that second “n”!
I met a little Darby Lynn yesterday. I know another little girl named Darby as well.

I came across Darby lately, too! Although I’m not sure if it was a boy or girl? The one Darby I know of (a little Darby Alexander, which I think is adorable!) is a guy, so it’s all boy to me, but I can see how some would like it on girls, too.

Today I came across Georgina and Jemma (at least, that’s how it was spelled on my screen–it could have been the more traditional Gemma spelling)–they struck me as being so British! I think Georgina and Gemma would be darling for sisters. Or even Georgiana and Gemma…

Darby sounds more boy to me too and reminds me of Darcy, which I like better. Georgina and Gemma would make a good sibset although I don’t really care for either one..
I don’t think I mentioned it here yet but my friend just had a baby boy she named Grant. Big sis is Claire. They are well known names but not necessarily Common and I think they go well together.

I love Grant! Argh, so much.

The other day I came across two little kids named Cole (big brother) and Chloe (little sister). They were adorable, and I especially thought that Cole suited his name so well, but Cole and Chloe?! I’m not sure you could get more matchy for b/g siblings (Leo and Cleo? We’re not going there…). LOVE Cole, though, and I didn’t mind coming across a Chloe. I haven’t met a little one yet with the name, so it was nice to see one, at least.

I met a guy named Ovi today, too. I think he was Jewish. I love strange Hebrew names! haha.

Cole & Chloe are way too similar!

My roommate recently came across a Da Kota, pronounced DAY koh-TAY. Apparently he just goes by DK.

I’ve just gotten up the guts to ask my boss what his two daughter’s names were. I thought I’d heard some mention of what they are, but I was really pleasantly surprised!

Sophia Josephine, and Isabel Olivia. Not really sure of the spellings, as he is Hispanic, but I’m not sure if his wife is. It could be Sofia or Isabelle, too, I suppose. For some reason I just assumed Sophia and Isabel. Still really great names, even if they are popular, though!

Also came across a baby Addison at work today, and grown-ups named Izzy (I’m assuming it’s a nn?), Noelle, and several Caitlins.

    Lately I’ve heard:

    Sullivan (adorable little boy!)
    Joshua
    Mason (girl)
    Iris
    Nadia

I love all of them, with the exception of Mason on a girl. I like Macy, can appreciate Maisie, like Mae/May, and I even don’t mind Mason on a boy, but I don’t like it on a girl at all. :/

I met the neighbors of a family I nanny for. They were parents Justin and Jessica and boys Jackson (i think around 6), Joseph “Joe” (3/4) and James (19 months).

I don’t like that all J’s think. But I’m glad that they stuck with classic J names.

Some interesting ones. Some I met, others from a list I’m skimming:
Mauriana – I’m not sure if how it’s pronounced, she sits behind me in a class and I saw it written. I’m assuming it’s not quite like Mariana, though, right?
Ceilan – pronounced like Kellan, female. Met her a while ago but had no idea how to spell it til now.
Anastasia – on an older woman who goes by the full name. I love it.
Gabrielle – nickname Rie, which I thought was pretty cool.
    Orville
    Glen – male
    Elegance – male.
    Jasmon – female
    Huxley

    Lots of interesting names!
    I like Ilya and Ileana.
I’m not sure how I feel about Annelle.

I recently came across a Grisha. I’m guessing it’s Russian?

Today I met an Aries (female), Trey, and brothers Nathan and Tristan, which I think I rather like as a sibset.

I’ve been in Australia for the past two weeks and came across:

Patience -A little girl about 6yrs. old. I thought it was kind of cute (and so did my DH) until she started acting up and her parents shouted “PATIENCE” then it just made me laugh. I also heard them call her “Pay” as a nn

    Gemma

India -She was a red head who introduced herself as “India, like the country” lol

Bindi -Yes, I met Steve Irwin’s daughter & son, Bob. I learned Bindi is the Aboriginal Australian name for “girl”

    Liza

    Byron
Angus -One of those old man names I just can’t see fit for a 4 yr.old
