Middle name for Evangeline?

Evangeline’s been on my list for years and I think it’s in the top spot right now. It’s also one of only 2 names right now that DH and I both like (Eliana is the other one). MN suggestions for it?

Our boys both have strong, classic FNs and Hebrew middle names so it would be kind of cool if her MN was Hebrew, too, but it has to go well with Evangeline which might be tricky. LN is Portuguese, sounds kind of like Banderas.

Some other names I love (if any of them work or inspire other ideas) are Susanna, Lucy, Eliana, Georgia, Lila, Sarah, Anneliese, and Rachel.

I kind of like Ruth with Evangeline. Lucy, Sarah, Rachel, Hannah would be pretty too. Susanna, Georgia, Eliana, and Anneliese seem too long to flow well, and Lila shares the Li sound with Evangeline, which makes it a bit harder to say imo.

I do love Evangeline Claire. DH didn’t really like Claire when I suggested it as a FN but maybe he’d consider it as a middle.
I also like Lucy or Rachel with it, I think.
Anyhow, thanks for the feedback and suggestions!

We’re expecting and so far planning on using Irene (family name) Evangeline (we’ll call her Eva). Evangeline is beautiful! I have always loved Eliana. (since my mothers name is Ellen, but we already have a big sister Aiyana) However, I feel like there are so many Ana’s and Elie’s nowadays. Also always loved Anneliese. Good luck

Thanks for the replies! I think Evangeline Lucy and Evangeline Rachel are probably my favorites. I would love Evangeline Rose but they already have a cousin named Emily Rose. I love Evangeline Ruby too but they have cousins named Eleanor Ruby and Ruby Mae (opposite sides of the family).

I think that Evangeline is a beautiful name, however a difficult one to find a name for. Since it is so long and extravagant I think that it sounds best with only one syllable middle names. Here are some I thought sounded really pretty:

    Evangeline Blair
    Evangeline Brooke
    Evangeline Brynn
    Evangeline Dawn
    Evangeline Grace
    Evangeline Hope
    Evangeline Jade
    Evangeline Jane
    Evangeline Kate
    Evangeline Kay
    Evangeline Maeve
    Evangeline Rae
    Evangeline Rayne
    Evangeline Wren

    Abigail (my father’s joy)
Avital (pronounced AH-vee-TALL; means my father’s dew, as in refreshment and blessing)
    Keturah (incense/the idea of prayer)
    Liora (My gift of light)
    Mattea (gift of God)
    Naomi (pleasant)
    Ruth (friend)
If born in January – Sapphire! (Sefira is Hebrew)
Shalom (Evangeline Shalom – gospel of peace )
    Yaffa – beautiful

For the record, I really like it with Rose, and it if’s just a cousin’s middle name (especially if it’s a cousin they don’t really see much), then I don’t think it would be strange to use it.

Ooh, Liora is beautiful. And I love how meaningful those choices all are, NMteacher! I might have to seriously consider that one … and see what DH thinks.

I’ve always thought Leora (spelled this way) was really pretty too!
