Kate or Daisy?

I had been pretty set on my Ari combo for years now (Arianne Eleanor Kate), but lately I’ve come across Arianne Eleanor Daisy, and I’m really loving that, as well. Both Kate and Daisy honor my mom, so neither one really has an edge there. Each combo has other benefits, though, that the other doesn’t have, which makes it a bit hard to decide. Which combo do you prefer? Arianne Eleanor Kate, or Arianne Eleanor Daisy?

    Thanks, ladies!

I like the name Kate a lot more than Daisy, but I kind of like the sound of Daisy better with the combo. It flows well, and the names are all different enough to make it work. I think either’d be just fine, but I do like the idea of Daisy.

I agree with TheWishingStar. As a FN I’d like Kate better but in that combo I think I prefer Daisy.

I prefer Kate both as a first name and in the combo, Arianne Eleanor Kate

I think Kate sounds better in that combo, but to some extent it will depend on what baby’s last name will be when you know. I think Kate works better if the last name has more than one syllable, but if not, Daisy may flow better.

@embra – I suppose time will tell! If I ever do adopt while I’m still single, Arianne is my second favorite girls’ name, so it’s much more likely to get used with my current surname, if I go down that route. But if it doesn’t, I really have no way of predicting, of course. I almost feel like Daisy flows more seamlessly with my current surname–Arianne Eleanor Daisy Roberts–with Kate, it sort of stops before you have to say Roberts; it just doesn’t flow as well for me. But Kate is shorter than Daisy…

That’s ok. You probably don’t have to have a final answer just yet. Possibly if you do get married your husband will have an opinion about names too. I was surprised to find that to be so ;-)

Despite the fact that I like the name Kate more than Daisy, I have to agree that Daisy flows better with everything else.
Kate does make it slightly choppy

    So I vote Daisy :D
