I took a pregnancy test on Tuesday, and it came up positive! I was so in shock that I took another two and they both came out positive as well. So I made an appointment and went to the doctor yesterday (Friday). It was a basic sit down, test to see if you actually are pregnant, when is your due date type appointment, but exciting nonetheless! So, now I know i’m still very early on in my pregnancy (im due June 30th) but we took FOREVER to decide on our sons name as we are both so indecisive.

    Our list consists of:

    Julian
    William
    Ronan
    Finn
    Leo
    Rory
    Oliver
    Isaac

    Eleanor
    Amelie
    Leah
    Beatrice
    Tessa
    Evie
    Elodie
    Georgia
    Annamae
    Lauren
    Francesca

Yes, I have added quite a few names to the list since my last post. Husband is not on board with the naming process yet, so these are just my ideas. Thanks, big bro is Charles Avery ‘Charlie’

Congratulations! Those are some great names.
For boys names the ones I really like are:
    William
    Ronan
    Finn
    Leo
    Oliver
    Isaac

I think Leo goes the best with Charles. Runners up Isaac or William.

Of your girls names, I really like (with comments to the side:
Amelie – pretty and French as I think Charles is, but similar to the ever-popular Emily
Leah – nice, classic. Unusually for me, I actually like the non-traditional Lia better.
Tessa – Pretty. Less of a classic than Charles, but I really like it.
Georgia -Sweet, versatile. Not sure it goes great with Charles.
Lauren – I love this name and think it goes well with Charles. It might be slightly dated. Laurel might be a good alternative too.
    Francesca – pretty, versatile.

With Charles, I think I like Amelie, Tessa, and Lauren best.

Thanks very much for the replies. Embra, the boys names that we both really love are Leo and William, so its great that you think they go well with Charlie’s. My personal favourite is still Finn though but it seems like we might have to let that one go as husband isn’t top keen.

I love all our girls names so much that I just don’t know which name I would pick! Luckily we do have a bit of time before making the decision!

Congratulations! So happy for you. You do have a lot of great names on your list! My top picks would be Oliver or Leo for a boy and Eleanor or Georgia for a girl. I had a hard time deciding though since you have so many great options!!
I also really love Isaac, Evie (though I’d really prefer it as a nn) and Elodie.

Congratulations, I was scrolling through posts from before I joined and feel bad i didn’t realize you were pregnant! I love your original list! Ronan, William and Rory are my favorites (Ronan is my #1 but hubby doesn’t like it :( ) I agree with others.. William or Leo goes best with Charlie.
How do you pronounce Amelie? The only one I don’t think is a good fit with Charlie would be Leah bc of the similarity. I love Charlie & Tessa or Charlie & Georgia as a sibset though. And I am partial to Lauren because it is my own name :p I have a Co worker with a 2yr old daughter named Lauren and even though I love my name, I must admit I think it sounds a bit dated for a child now :/
