Ideas for first name needed

My Fiance insists on naming our first boy Lyric. I like the name but not as a first name. He told me if I come up with a great first name he will proudly take second place.

If you could help me out, I’d be at a great advantage. I need a spectacular name to go before Lyric.

I’m with you that it works better as a middle name. :)
Can you give me an idea of what style/vibe you want for the FN? Similar to Lyric or are there other styles you like, too?

I don’t really have a style/vibe, but I guess I’d like the vibe to be similar to Lyric. Or maybe a heavy/strong name to counter-balance Lyric, so the full name won’t be overly, for lack of a better word, soft.

Hmmm. Well, it sounds like you want strong sounding names that are more unusual. Maybe one of these would work? Harrison, Brice, Booker, Dashiell, Milo, Zane, Atticus, Augustus, Coltrane, Phinneas, Vaughn, Nicodemus, or Gulliver. Am I on the right track or were you looking for more conventional options?

These are a little all over the place style-wise, but some ideas for you:

    Zephyr Lyric
    Sawyer Lyric
    River Lyric
    Maxwell Lyric
    Zane Lyric
    Grayson Lyric
    Silas Lyric
    Aslan Lyric
    Malcolm Lyric
    Everett Lyric
    Weston Lyric
    Isaiah Lyric

Oh yes, Zephyr and River fit well. Another option is Auberon (meaning noble, bearlike).

I like Silas, Auberon and River. Maybe some more conventional options would fit as well.

I was going to suggest River!!

    Others:

    Graham
    Griffin
    Oliver
    Spencer
    Nolan
    Hazen
    Tristan
    Phineas
    Gideon
    Gabriel

I think a conventional name could work well, too. Are there some you like more than others? I like yellowwatts’ suggestions of Griffin or Tristan with Lyric.

I really kind of like Silas Lyric. I think River Lyric could work well but it wouldn’t be my first choice just because then you have two “noun” names together.

For more conventional names that still aren’t boring, how about one of these:
    Nathan Lyric
    Sebastian Lyric
Rowan Lyric (I especially like this one)
    Brennan Lyric
    Owen Lyric
    Abram Lyric

Here are my favorites so far:

    Oliver Lyric
    Silas Lyric
    Auberon Lyric
    Abram Lyric
    Archer Lyric
    River Lyric

Also some suggestions of one syllable names to tag along after Lyric in case the first name is three syllables. I’m sort of obsessed with syllables of names; I’d like to give them six syllables (not counting last name). Like for instance my future daughter’s name is going to be Logan Adaline Sage (six syllables:)

I have just learned that it is tradition in his family to name the first born son Micheal, weather its middle or first. So “we” have agreed on Lyric Micheal. I say we but it was mostly him. I’m in the process of persuading him to let me throw Silas in there somewhere. Thank you for all your suggestions and your help. They were all great names and maybe if I ever have two sons I can use some of the suggested names.
