Hi! Blessings to you and your family ;)
First of all Esme and James are really nice together. I really like Theodore as the boy choice and as much as I am over the moon with both Amelie and Isla, I think they sound a little too similar to Esme. If I may offer a few thoughts–

Anya is short and sweet and has that charisma Esme does.
Moira is spunky and I love how it sounds with Jean.
Stella has that adult sound but Ella would be a cute nickname
Adele is so tres chic and sounds c’est bon with Esme.

    Hope I helped!

Esme and James are such great names!!

I really like August George, but I also really like Theodore. Not crazy about Jude, but I think Theodore would sound really nice with Esme and James, so I think Theodore Jude would be my vote.

For girls, I love Amelie!! I think it would be really beautiful with Esme and James! I like Isla a lot too, but I think it’s too similar to Esme for my tastes.

And I like EnglishLily’s suggestions of Anya and Stella!
    What about:
    Thomas
    Nicolas
    Henry
    Spencer
    Jasper
    Louis
    Benjamin
    William
    Oliver
    Bertram
    Vincent

    Mireille (mee-RAY)
    Alene
    Nora
    Lisette
    Jade
    Aimee
    Blaise
    Iris
    Phoebe
    Fiona
    Hazel
    Chloe

I’ve always found Nayeli to be very exotic-sounding – it’s a Native American name originally, isn’t it? Pretty, but I personally am not familiar enough with the culture to feel comfortable using it. I’ve only ever known one, and she was Native American, so it was fitting on her, but I think it would be sort of weird on someone from a different culture. I also don’t think it fits well with Esme and James – both are very classic European names. James is pretty common, and Esme is well-known, though not too popular. Nayeli is WAY different, to me.

I really do like August a lot, and while George isn’t my favorite, I think it works well with August. But if you wanted something different, I think August Jude would be cool! Or August Vincent?

I like August, and Gus would be a cute nn if he weren’t feeling very August at 2. I like Jude better as a mn too, and agree that Nayeli doesn’t really fit with your other children’s names, although it is very pretty on its own. I think Natalie, Auralie, or Audrey would go well with Jean and match your other kids’ names better. Of the girl names you listed, I like Isla best. I love Amelie, but it is so similar to the ever-popular Emily and has pronunciation issues that limit my enthusiasm for it.

I personally love the name Nayeli. That was one of our final choices for a girl’s name. I heard it once before, and I looked it up. It comes from the Zapotec tribe who originally lived in Mexico. The name means “I love you”. My baby will be half Mexican, so we could get away with using that name, but my mother in law didn’t like the name because she knows someone with that name who is “bad”.

With Esme and James, I really like the idea of August George (or even George August! How cute would Esme, James, and George be?!), Theodore (Esme, James, and Teddy would be adorable!), Isla (although for some reason, I’ve always found Esme and Isla really similar–I couldn’t tell you why! I think they’re both gorgeous, but I’m not sure I’d use them together?), and Amelie (I think this would be my girls’ pick! I like that Esme and James have the “M” to tie them together without being matchy, and I feel like Amelie carries this on in a nice way. How do you say Amelie, btw?). August and Amelie are my favorites, though. :)

    Good luck!
