Most of my GPs tend to be Scottish or Irish. I think it’s the literature I read!

I love names like Séamus, Alasdair, Angus, Dougal, Hamish, Fiona, Morag, etc. Most of which I’d never use. Ha, and my browser has most of them underlined as misspellings!

    What are yours?

I like Spanish boys’ names like Javier and Santiago. I’m not sure I could pull either one of them off, though, since I don’t speak Spanish!

Hmmmmm. So far I don’t see anything here that anyone needs to feel guilty about!

Names that I have listed as guilty pleasures include stuff that make me look in the mirror and shake my head at myself, because to use them would go against every single standard that I set or believe in.

That being said, I like the name Brighton. Yeah, its a place in the UK you’d never name your kid after, but I like it none the less. I would never use it, but I am lucky that I take in lots of animals because Brighton seems like a great name for a puppy.

As does Hollis, which I like. Which shouldn’t be guilt inducing, either…but I like it for a girl.

There are SO many lovely names here! I think my guilty pleasures sort of change
the more I read or learn about a name. Right now, I seem to be leaning towards names
that are a little less common here in the US and that’s why I’m really loving them.
Here are a few that are on top of my list-

Tamsin-This is so British and I love it!
Taissa-Interesting name that looks just lovely
Aine Said Anya, it’s an old Irish name with a lovely spelling!
Branna-Irish name meaning “dark hair like a raven” and I just love it
Adelaide-This has grown on me SOOOO very much
Austen-I love this for a girl. Just love it!
Waverly-This has been a favorite since The Joy Luck Club
Cosima-Another jewel thanks to televison :)

Sutton-This name is strong and masculine
Marius-A vampire associated name that just rolls off the tongue
Nico-How sleek is Nico? I mean, really!
    Marcellus-Such class
    Felix-Cool and jazzy I think

    Desmond
    Sebastian
    Leonardo
    Matteo
    Raphael

None of those are too crazy but I don’t think I’d use them myself. Maybe as middle names.

And for girls, hmm … I think Seraphina. And possibly Josefina/-phina. Ash suggested that to me on another board and I love it but am not sure I could use it.

Hmm, mine are mostly mythology names, like Artemis, Athena, Osiris, Acheron, Minerva, Freyja, or are names out of books or movies or shows that are cool but too nerdy to really get away with, like Sherlock, Aragorn, Eowyn, Sirius… Mostly names I think are really cool but would be hesitant to actually use, though if the father was okay with it, I wouldn’t argue against it. ;)

Oh gosh, I love Seamus. I REALLY wish I could use it but I can’t. The tormenting would be horrible and the kid would hate me.
Almost as much as if I would name him Sherlock :D
