OK, and one more. Since we already have a William Gabriel, do you think having a DD with the first name Gabrielle or Gabriella is off the table? I had been assuming so, but … I still really love this name.

yea i wouldnt use it. they are variants of the same name. also i never liked these names. i dont like the gab part. i think other names ending with ielle or iella are better. like arielle or ariella. softer sound. i think gabriel is a great name for a boy though.

I think it’s a beautiful name. I don’t think it matters if Gabriel Will’s mn unless that were the name he went by.

I don’t think so, not many people would even know it. I know a bro sis pair who are Paul and Paulette, but as adults with different last names, you don’t even really think about it.

I really like both Gabrielle and Gabriella (prefer Gabriella atm), but I do definitely think it’s off the table because of Will’s name. Beautiful name, but it’d be like me having a daughter named Isabel Ariana, and then naming a son Ari. Or a daughter named Olivia Charlotte, and then a son Charles. It’s just way too close. In some cultures, Gabriel and Gabrielle are even said the same.

I really do like the names, but yeah, I think if you’ve already used Gabriel, it should be off the table. Even though you probably never use Gabriel, they’re essentially the same name. Too much for me.

I don’t think it’s a huge issue. I have an Emma Catherine and would consider naming another daughter Kate. Not as noticeable as Gabriel and Gabrielle/a but still along the same lines.

Kimiha, Ariel/-le was on my list for a long time. I feel like the Little Mermaid association kind of ruins it though. Might make it seem trendy and juvenile? Not sure. I do love it. I think Ariella sounds pretty but someone ruined it for me after hearing the name and saying, “Areola?!”

About about Aubrielle? Annabelle? Isabelle? Mirabelle?

I’ve always loved the nn Brielle or Briella, and think that either of these would work fine as stand alone names. While Gabrielle or Gabriella is too close, I don’t think that either of these would be.
