    What are some diets/work out routines that you have found to be the most affective?

    Dh really wants to do the Insanity workout. Anyone know where to get those without spending a fortune?

    I still think the best workout EVER is Cindy Crawford – Shape Your Body Workout. Its cheezy and 90′s -ish…but boy does it get results and it really really works. It is the only workout that I use any more because I just know how good it is and have always gotten results. However this isn’t something your hubby is going to want to do, its mainly aimed at the ladies. I have bought some of the Tracy Anderson workouts and I don’t like them. Not that I don’t like the steps that she does, its just that I apparently lack the coordination to perform them at the speed that she does. lol.

    I know nothing of the Insanity workouts, but they don’t look like anything that I would stick to doing, so I don’t even consider them. If it isn’t something that I think I could do every single day, then I won’t do it and it won’t work.

    I love:
    * Jillian Michaels DVDs (especially 30 Day Shred and Six Week Six-Pack, but Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones are good, too)
    * Couch to 5K if you want to take up running
    * Weight Watchers
    Or, if you’re like me and have a metabolism that stops cooperating with most normal diets, the Dukan Diet worked great for me to finally lose the last 10 lbs of pre-baby weight, reverse my prediabetes and then lose another 8 lbs to boot.

    These days, I try to run 3 days/week and do 6 Week Six-Pack 2-3 x/wk (I know my core needs work!).

    I walk 5 kilometres a day and use a small plate for dinner. Sometimes I jump robes, do sit-ups and push-ups but I really like to go for long walks and enjoy the beautiful nature we have here.

    I just started back on Weight Watchers – it is the only thing that is sustainable for me. I tried Atkins and after 2 weeks I had to stop because I had such bad kidney pain.
    I also am a huge fan of the treadmill – that is also the only thing I really can stick with. If I were at a gym I do like the elliptical and their circuit workouts too

    Anabel, how long is the Shape Your Body workout? I started the Bikini Body Mommy challenge a few weeks ago but it’s really bothering my back (which I don’t usually have problems with) so I want to find something different for my strength-training days.
