Isn’t there something you can buy to allow you to watch Netflix on your TV?
If so do you know if it any good?
    Thanks

There’s a lot of DVD/BlueRay players that get netflix. You can also get a Roku or other internet hub that works with any web based movie thing (ei Amazon Prime, Hulu etc.)

I’ve had bad and good look with dvd players the biggest problem with that is if you have an old tv with only RCA inputs (no HDMI) they don’t usually make DVD players with RCA anymore.

I work for two families that have Rokus and they work super good. You can also use them to play games get Pandora Radio etc. I just bought one for our family for Christmas.

if you have an xbox a live gold membership gets you access to Netflix as well as hulu, but only if you already have these services. i watch all of my “tv” through my xbox.
if you have netflix already and you have a wii you can use your wii to access netflix for no additional charge.

both the Wii and the Xbox require wifi or direct plug in internet access.

also if you have a computer that is in close proximity to your tv or a laptop with an hdmi port you can purchase an hdmi cord and use your television as your computer monitor. i’ve seen 10-15 ft hdmi cords for as little as $5.

as long as you have a good highspeed connection any of these will work just as well if not better going through the netflix website.

i’ve never used a roku personally but i’ve heard good things.

We have a smart tv, two bluray players, and a Google Chromecast. lol We lurve our internet tv! :)

I highly recommend the Google Chromecast for what you want. It’s only $35 and it plugs into an HDMI port on your tv, and you can control it with a computer, tablet, or smartphone (it supports both Apple and Android devices). It has apps for Netflix, Hulu, and Youtube, plus you can display anything from your internet browser on your computer with it. We got one for our bedroom because we really didn’t want to invest in another bluray player, and it’s cheaper than anything else out there, and all we wanted it for was Netflix and Hulu. It’s really awesome because it can travel anywhere with you easily, or be moved from tv to tv because it’s not much larger than a flash drive.

Wow, Magster, I hadn’t heard of Chromecast but that does sound like a sweet deal.

It really is, and they’ve added some new apps that I hadn’t noticed. The Amazon page for it has some really great info.
