I like it. Arianna looks to be a bit more common than Ariana (#49 versus #74 on the SSA list). It is kind of a trendy name that first broke into the top 1000 in 1982 and has risen steadily to the top 50. (More popular if you combine the two spellings.)

I like Ariana better, but yeah, Arianna looks a little more popular. Also, I pronounce it ari-ah-nuh, not ari-ANN-uh, and the -ana spelling seems more logical for that. Though both are probably common enough that you’d have to clarify which spelling for people.
I agree, though, it’s trendy, which bothers me. But it’s pretty, and I really like the nickname Ari.

Arianna is more popular than Ariana, but I like Ariana LOADS better. I’m with @thewishingstar as far as pronunciations go with Ariana vs. Arianna.

I like Ariana a LOT–although I love Ari names in general–but I LOVE Arianne (my second favorite girls’ name! air-ee-ann). I also really love Ariella, Arielle, Aurora, Aurore, Aurelie, Aurelia, Araminta, Arabella, and even some names with Ari in the middle of them, like Mariana, Marissa, Clarissa, etc.

Much prefer Ariana (pr: A-ree-AAH-na) to Arianna (pr: A-ree-AN-ah)

I too agree with Thewishingstar on the pronunciation. I like Ariana better (Ah-na ending) but Adrianna even better and don’t have a preference on that one being pronounced either as Anna or ah-na

I really like Ana (Ah-na), but dislike Anna (An-a), so Ariana is definitely my favourite. I love Arabella and Ariadne a lot more though.

I agree with others on the pronunciation, too, and agree that the “ah-na” pronunciation would be more clear with the Ariana spelling. Though I agree that you’d still probably have to clarify for people as many don’t follow (or know) that pronunciation rule for ana/anna so it gets confusing. :)

My cousin just had twins, one of which was named Arianna (pronounced Ah-ree-AH-nah) I think it’s pretty!
