Anyone else into weight lifting?

    I’ve dabbled in strength training/weight lifting a bit and did some work with DH this winter/spring. This week I’ve finally started a structured program (New Rules of Lifting for Women) and am liking it so far. I have heard SO much about how good it is for you, better than cardio, and I’m glad I’m finally doing it. ;) Anyone else into lifting? If so, what do you do? Or any tips for a newbie?

    I am trying to do this 3x/wk now and then HIIT and some running (to keep that up) about 3-4 times a week as well, plus the occasional Zumba class for variety. I plan to double up on lifting and HIIT some days so I will still get 1-2 rest days per week.

    I need to get back into working out, but when I do work out, I usually incorporate weight training in some where! But I don’t do the bar lifting!


    I do lift a little as cross training for running- I’m training for a half marathon in September!! EEeekkk!
