Additional Info:Created by mistake as a character in Shakespeare's play Cymbeline. The name was meant to be Innogen, the name of a legendary Celtic character. Innogen or Inogen most likely derived from Inghean, a Gaelic term for maiden or daughter. Innogen was misprinted as Imogen, possibly due to someone thinking it referred to the last born ("Imo gens" in Latin.)
