Chantilly is a town in the French region of Oise, just outside Paris. It is famous for its castle, the Château de Chantilly, as well as its being the hometown of both Chantilly lace and Chantilly cream, the precursor to modern whipped cream. "Chantilly" is the French word for whipped cream.
