I am physically not attracted to black women and neither are any of my friends. We don't find the black female body, particularily in its nude form, sexy. Thus, none of us have ever pursued black women. On the other side of the coin, white women seem to be attracted to black men a fair bit. Perhaps it's the tough-guy image, perhaps it's the stereotype of the larger penis, etc. Men and women differ in how they perceive a person to be sexy. Black women, with no offence intended against them, don't have the qualities that a typical white man finds sexy.

I'm guessing the average black woman does not find hateful, neo-con German-Canadian Store Managers attractive either.

I'm sure they don't. However, since he's not a black woman, he can hardly speak as to what black women find attractive in the opposite sex. I don't see what he said was at all hateful. To me- it sounded like a pretty accurate general observation in regards to society and as a factual statement personally.

Accurate/factual might be a stretch.
I was referring to his other scores of hateful posts, not this one in particular, although this one is not exactly pleasant.

GENERAL physical characteristics and cultural differences. Not every black woman is going to have these characteristics and not every white man is going to not be attracted to them. But you want an example?- larger behinds. Black women have larger bottoms than white women as a GENERAL rule. The list that you just rattled off seems to make me question what you think- I personally wan't thinking any of the things you noted.

I agree with you- I only meant factual as it relates to him personally.

Can we keep this thread on topic please? Given the sensitive subject matter it's going to be very easy for someone to turn it into a flame war anyway, without dragging in ammunition from elsewhere. It will, I think, be a really interesting discussion if we can keep it broadly civil for long enough for everyone who wants to to have their say.

So you mean to say that "white men" are not attracted to say... Halle Barry, Jada Pinkett Smith or maybe Brandy?!!! I find this to be untrue as I am married to a white man and he thinks all 3 of these BLACK women and a few others are just as sexy as many "white" females. I don't think it has anything to do with being "white or black" it is more about personal preference and you spoke for ALL white males when you should have only spoken for yourself!!!

I hate using stereotypes as the norm too but I get what Bismark is saying. Most importantly, I don't think that he is in the minority with what he thinks in regards to this issue. Everyone has friends or knows a person that doesn't fit the norm in any way at all- but that doesn't change the fact that it still is the general norm.

There's a difference between understanding the stereotype that Bismark is talking about (professional, college educated white man from the suburbs; uneducated, loud, big-butt black woman from the projects; white man is not interested) and agreeing with it. I just don't see it as the norm. I'm not offering you a single educated, thin black woman as evidence; I'm saying that I don't know a single black woman who fits the "sterotype" and moreover, I'm saying that in my affluent, highly educated circle of friends, there's quite a bit of interracial dating. That's all. I would suggest that if a white man's experience of black women is that they are fat/from the projects that he's most likely of similar background himself.
