Wow. Was that my dad? That is exactly what he is like...sometimes I think he thinks he's still a kid and I have to be the adult. When do I ever get a chance to be the selfish teenager?! That is terrible. A chocolate bar is not a suitable breakfast. Even if you are in a hurry, at least reach for an apple or banana instead of a candy bar. Stupid dads...

Totally unfair to dads. I never got a chocolate bar for breakfast and it was always provided by my dad.

Now, if the chioce is apple or chocolate bar, yes pick apple.

if its choclate bar or nothing...which would you pick?

Oh sorry I meant stupid my dad and the dad that was giving his daughter a chocolate bar! Not all dads.

My Dad is also the same way (He's raising me alone) and he NEVER checks to see if I'd had breakfast. the only time he would is if I asked him. One time we were out of milk, and we needed to go grocery shopping, so I'm like, we don't have anything to eat...so he gave me a Take 5 bar. No, it's not healthy, but so what? Eating ANYTHING will give you enough energy until lunch. I think vitamins are unneccasary for children if they have a well-balanced diet. There is no reason to slam a parent for parents not giving their children vitamins, and it was totally uncalled for to say that. Morning are hectic and busy. Especially when you have children, you need to get them dressed, their hair & teeth brushed, their bags packed, their lunch money ready...it is SO easy to forget breakfast. I think the best thing to do is keep some nutrigrain bars and water bottles in the car, like we do.
