I don't like it, it just sounds awkward. It's the sort of name that could grow on mw though

I just think of the fungi that causes infections like thrush, sorry.

looks like a wrong spelling of Canida mixed with a sort of insect (can't think of the name of the insect, some sort of moth i think....)

I don't like it at all.
To me, it doesn't really sound like a name. When I look at it I see Candid and "Candide" and even Canada.

One of my best friends (Candice) uses the spanish name Candida, so it's a form of Candice (I'm pretty sure)
It reminds me of Spanish class. It's a cute name but not my style.

I was going to point that out. But you already knew that.
It also is normal intestinal bacteria.
Not a good name for anything other then a unicellular prokaryotic microorganism.

I never knew it was a fungi, but that just makes me dislike it that much more. I also looks like a misspelling of Canada. I don't like it.
