|
|
Anyone have suggestions? I'm trying to save money to go skiing with my youth group on spring break, but it costs about $800 and I still owe my parents 200 from this year! So I need some ways to make money!
I'm 16 btw so keep that in mind, and don't suggest getting a job please because my parents won't let me/I don't have time during school.
Here's my ideas so far:
-Doing chores around the house (litterbox, dishes, vacuuming, etc) to get allowance or just get paid by the chore.
- Babysitting.
- Having a garage sale of just my stuff (which I have a LOT of lol) so I would get the profits.
- Raking leaves in the fall.
- Washing cars (for my family or neighbors).
- Tutoring younger kids at my school.
- Plus birthday money.
Any other ideas??!?!

What me and my friends use to do to get some cash is , we would go round to peoples houses and ask if they would like their car washed, we got quite alot of money.Make sure there are only 2-3 people max though.

Legally or illegally?
There's only four ways to make money, legally.
1. Provide a product or service to somebody. Working falls into this category.
2. Liquidate your assets. This basically means sell your possessions.
3. Receive it from others for free. Gifts and manipulations fall into this categoy.
4. Gamble. I don't recommend this one.
I suggest you try option #1. If your parents won't let you get a job, set up a small business of your own. Determine an area where there is a demand, and supply it.

I have no idea. I have that problem too. Where I live you need a car to do anything.

You could have a garage sale with other peoples' stuff. Make up a flyer telling the reason why you are raising money and you would like donations of any items for a garage sale. Then pass it around your neighborhood. Then have a huge sale with all the stuff people have donated. They'll appreciate seeing it go to a good cause and they might enjoy coming to the sale as well.

Hmm Bismarck what would you suggest as a "small business" that wouldn't take up too much time and would be quite profitable?
I thought about eBay but I can't think of anything to sell....
Thanks everyone, keep the ideas coming please!

If you have a recycling center near by you could sell back recyclable materials like soda pop cans and bottles, milk cartons, glass.....some places even buy back denim jeans...
