|
|
We are due December 5th, with our 3rd boy. Our first son's name is David Michael, and our second son's name is Matthew Rhys. We are having a difficult time coming up with a name for our third son. I would like something traditional (possibly biblical) to go along with our other names. Any ideas?
I like Jacob Dylan (but my husband hates it)
I also like the name Noah, but am not sure about a middle name.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't think I could go with Isaiah -- makes me think of the basketball player (Isaiah Thomas). I dated a Jeremiah, so that name is out also.
I do like the sound of Noah Jacob . . . the next test is to run it past my husband. (He likes Bryan -- a combination of his brother, Brian; and my brother Ryan). I think we should be able to come up with a name that a member of our family hasn't already been named with, even if the spelling is different.
My grandfather is trying to talk me into using his name, Grant. I don't think I could do it for a first name, but possibly a middle name?

It is funny you suggested Noah Grant ... I was just talking to my mom, and we both thought either Noah Grant (Grant after my grandfather) or Noah Gene (Gene after my dad, Doyle Gene).
I asked my husband what he thought of the name Noah, and he didn't immediately veto it; that is a definite plus here!
The more I hear Noah Grant, the more I like it. Noah Grant DeFord. What do you think?

I vote for Noah Grant DeFord, that sounds really nice. Honoring gramps is such a nice thing to do and it's not like it is an unappealing name at all. I would even consider Grant as a first name as it is very distinctive and a family name giving your baby roots he will appreciate for the rest of his life (I was named after my grandmas and really love it). Good luck!

My husband has now decided that he isn't quite as sure about Noah as I had hoped. He says it is too biblical. So, once again, I need your help. I was thinking Noah Grant, or Noah Gene...but who knows!??
My oldest son's name is David Michael, and my 2nd son's name is Matthew Rhys. Any help or suggestions you might have would be great!
(Grant is my grandfather's name, and Gene is my dad's middle name). Our oldest son is named after my husband's father, and Matthew is a name that his mom and dad had chosen, but never used; and since we both liked it we went for that.
I also like the name Jacob, but my husband doesn't care for it either. He likes the name Bryce, but I'm not a fan of it. We just can't agree on anything. Please HELP!!!

Caleb
Gabriel
Dylan (all my sons so I know how hard it is to name boys )
My cousin just names her son Andrew and is calling him Drew for short!!
Her oldest is Taylor Alexander which are also 2 nice names!!!!!!!!!!!
