i don't think the names on your list are necessarily "ghetto"...except for Jybonte and Akwante. When i think "ghetto names", i think of very made up names like D-Kwon or DeJuan'ae or pronouncing a name differently than it's spelled and capitalizing random letters or adding hyphens and apostrophies where they don't gramatically belong....things like that. I don't speak for everyone, thats just how it is where I'm from...

I have to agree

*laughs* my little farm-boy cousin is Trea....but I think his mom got the name from the movie "Boyz in the Hood". I guess that's why he gets called Bubba all the time....

I don't know whay anyone would actually WANT to use a "ghetto" name or be thought of as "ghetto" in any way shape or form.

Latonya is a female name, and isnt just "ghetto" I know a rich, blonde girl, named this. I also know a teen-age mother from the "hood" named this as well.

i've always wondered what a "ghetto" name is.. if it just means they are made-up and different sounding, then i kind of like them ! i dont understand why no one likes these kind of names Confused
