|
|
My friend is due May 20th with her first, a little girl. I have no clue what to buy for little girls as I have only boys so I could use some help. Do any of you have any creative gift ideas for a little baby girl? Thanks in advance.

one of those good cardboard books, with a nice toy (for babies...) that matches the character in some way? How much are you planning on spending?

Not too much since we have a ton of bills and kids. I thought it would be nice to get her something a little different from what is normally given. I didnt even know she was pregnant until about 1 month ago. I hadnt talked to her forever.

I think I'd be cute to get her a pink hat since she'll be born in the summer time she'll need it. Or get her a tank top. Or a baby girl photo album.

I am always a fan of picture frames or photo albums.
Diapers are always good too!

I just bought a friend of mine what I think is a cute present. I made her a couple light weight fleece blankets because its summer and hot in Arizona. The material cost about $4 and then I bought a bedtime book, a CD of bedtime music, a pair of pjs and the bedtime bath lotion. I have an infant myself and find that I love bedtime with him so I thought it was a cute idea.

I like the idea of going to a craft store and buying a big cheap basket and then going to a store like Walmart and filling half of it with lotions, facecloths, a teething ring, rattle, pacifier, etc for the baby and then filling the other half with things for the mom, like a new book by a favorite author, hand lotion, etc. Homemade coupons for free babysitting, housecleaning, lawn mowing, window washing, meal making etc. (Anything you know she will need help with in the next little while. ) I would put anything in that I thought the mom would appreciate. Even things like new hair elastics and brush, nail polish and lip gloss. Moms need to feel special too.
Other good ideas are:
Gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure.
DIAPERS- enough said!

i thought this was a pretty original gift. a friend had a boy, and for his christening the godmother brought a star and named it after him...i think it was a very nice idea and something that the child will have forever..but all the other ideas are great too....i like the idea of hte gift basket for mum and baby!

how about a diaper cake? those are really cute. This is going to sound really horrible but if you need a gift basket, I'm in the buisness. you
could make either of them yourself though.
