how about the name Kriti
it's originally from india and means 'creation' in hindi
i think it's an absolutely beautiful name for a girl
it rhymes with 'pretty' if spoken with an american accent and 'krithi' if spoken with a hindi accent

Well it's not unique is it? If it's a name in India how can it be unique?

I agree, the meaning is good, but I wouldn't name my daughter that...

How about Maya, instead, which is Hindu for the "divine creative force in everything?" Similar meaning and heritage, but I think it will sit better...

Yeah, I don't like the way it sounds when pronounced either... I'm a bigger fan of Maya, that's a nice name (and not too common either).
