What do you think about this for a first name for a girl? I am contemplating several traditional classic names, but this one keeps popping up in my mind as a possibility. I need assistance in either dropping it completely from my list or keeping it as a contender.
If you like it, what middle name would go with it?
Thanks!

I love Reagan, I think it's an awesome name. I know I would have enjoyed being named that . . . I do agree that a classic, simple, unquestionably feminine mn would go well with it.
Good luck!

I like it, and think you should go with it, but you should mix it with a feminine name, otherwise she will be mistaken for a boy.

Reagan is also a name I am considering. I love it because it is recognizable, but not too common - pretty, but not cutesy. She could be a debutante or a CEO of a major corporation. The name will fit around her personality, not the other way around. (A cutesy or prissy sounding name will be hard on a tom-boy type girl...etc.) I'm considering pairing it with a traditional middle name - Elizabeth - because its soft & it and is my grandmothers name.
Don't be afraid of being a bit different! It's a solid choice, not wacky or flakey. Look at Drew Barrymore and others that have not so traditional names - she pulls it off beautifully & nobody questions her femininity!! People only raise their eyebrows at your choice now, because they don't have a face & a personality to go with the name. Once they put all these together, they will love the fact that she's not just another Emily in the crowd!!
Best of luck to you!

It's scary to go off the beaten path of the the Emily's and the Emma's. We are adopting a baby from China and I wanted her to have the very best name we could give her, I didn't know how hard that was going to be! Thank you for all your advice. My list is narrowed down to (and believe me it's taken a long time to get this far)...
Reagan Elizabeth or Reagan Maree (family name)
Leah Claire, Leah Maree or Leah Catherine
Katherine Claire "Kate"
Claire Elizabeth
Hope that's a good list that I've narrowed it down to, feel free to comment.
I have chosen to give her an american name and keep her chinese name seperate.
Thanks again!
