|
|
My girlfriend is half native-american and half puerto rican, I am black. We are trying to come up with a girl's name. We have decided that the middle name will be Consuelo. Now, she is set on having a "unique" name for the baby, but the names she is coming up with don't really appeal to me. Her latest idea is Zanautica or Zanadia. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

PLEASE don't go with Zanautica or Zanadia. Consuelo is a great, classy name...it deserves a classy first name.
I love Zoe, Zaira, and Zaida. If you're not locked in on the Z names and may use other letters, then Xiana, Naudia, Yasmin, and Nia appeal to me too.
Here are some more ideas... I tried to find a few that reflect your heritage and hers.
Amadi Consuelo (African [Igbo...means "rejoicing"])
Aylen Consuelo (Native American [Mapuche...means "happiness" or "clear"])
Jaci Consuelo (Native American [Tupi...means "moon"])
Kiana Consuelo (Hawaiian..."heavenly" or "divine", a variant of Diana)
Tamaya Consuelo (Native American [Quechua...means "in the center"])
Zora Consuelo (Slavic...means "dawn")
Zuri Consuelo (African [Swahili...means "beautiful"])

The nevaeh idea does not complement the name Consuelo whatsoever.
Tamaya Consuelo has a ring to it, actually, and is pretty good for a child of mixed heritage. She'll be one hot tomale!

I may be out of the loop, but I look at Consuelo and think it's a boys name. Consuella is nice....I have a friend named that (we call her Connie) But I just think Consuelo looks like a boys name.

No, it can be a girl's name. Look at the name Soccoro (Spanish for Help) - ends in an O but is a feminine name.
