The wife and I have pretty much decided on a name for our daugher due in April. Im pretty sure the Ol' school "Namesayers" will wince, but here it is... Whadda yah think?

Devyn Nyssa DeVoe

We wanted an Alliteration for a name. It worked well with my sister Danielle so we wanted to head in that direction. We also wanted a name that was original, something that stood out and she wouldnt be confused with another girl. Although Devyn is not totally original, but when pair with Nyssa it seemed to stand out.

Nyssa was a name that I loved. Originally wanted it for a first name but the wife thought is sounded to much like Melissa. And we definately didnt want an ordinary name like that. Nyssa is the name a Brittish TV Sci-Fi character. In greek it means "the beginning". How appropriate for a first child.

Well it's definitely not Old School!
Devyn looks cool . . . but I don't think it's that uncommon for boys or girls. But a nice name.

It's special, I would change Devyn till Devin, think it's too much with so many y's, but exept for that, it's beautyful.

It is very pretty, but what is the deal with all of the Y's. I'm telling you, Y is taking over the world. Maybe I should change my name to Myrydyth! What do you think?
