I'm not having kids any time soon but I adore this name. Everyone I mention it to laughs at it! Is it awful? I love it! Sad

I like it, I'm not sure why people are laughing!

It's hugely common and popular right now though, perhaps that's why they're laughing!?

I love the name Sophie. Its in my top 5. I dont understand why people would laugh at it. Is a traditional, timeless name.

I think it is way too boring/ popular. There are so many million people out there named Sophie. Why not have it as a middle name???

I love it. Sophie is one of my favs regardless of its popularity. It just depends on where you live. Sophie is not so popular in my small town and I would imagine that some people I know would think it was weird. Do not listen to them, nothing is wrong with Sophie. The people who are laughing probably want you to name your child Bailey or Madison or something.

I think it and Sophia are too popular, and Sophie seems like a very popular name for a cat. I prefer Sophia, although neither gets me excited. It's nothing to laugh at, though.

I don't like Sophie at all, too close to *soapy* for my liking.

I like it enough, but it's sooo popular and it doesn't age well. Sophia is even more popular, but it ages better. And Sophie is a nickname for Sophia, so you get the best of both.
