|
|
I really like the name Winter, but I think it's only a GP name. It's not that I like it after Nicole and Joel gave it to their daughter as a middle name, I was thinking of that name before I even knew her name.
Do you think you can name a child Winter, especially because there are also Summer's and Autumn's? I was just wondering about it, because I really like it.
And another question : Do you think Wynne could be a lovely and cute nickname for Winter?
THANKS!

Winter is a grey, cold and depressing month. I wouldn't want to be named after that time of the year but with the Summer and Autumn's running around I imagine you could get away with Winter. The problem is the name is likely to become celebrity-trendy after Nicole and Joel's baby, same with Harlow.
I used to have such a soft spot for Wynne on a boy not so long ago. Win or Winnie would make nice nn's for Winter though

I love the season Winter. I love the look of a snowfall and sports such as ice skating, snowboarding etc. Plus lots of fun holidays like Xmas and New Year's!
I think Winter is a pretty name. I would only use it as a middle name though.

the name Witner is sort of cute, I love the nn Winnie, I think it is adorable. I think it really depends wether or not your like the season winter, if you hate snow and cold, then don't name your daughter Winter, if you love snow and you love it being cold then name her Winter!

I would keep it as a GP. I find it extremely cutesy and trendy and can't picture an adult with this name sorry! I feel she would get teased also. What about Gwendolyn nn Wynne?

I can see the appeal but I don't know how I'd feel about it on a real person. I dislike season names in general-- if she's born in the winter, it feels tacky, and if she's born in the summer it's just odd.

I do like it as a name and especially with the nickname Wynne, it's very cute. Of course, the teasing possibility is a bit high on this name, but I could get past that. Personally, I would only use it as MN but I wouldn't mind seeing it as a first.
