My friend's aunt wanted to name her 4th child Lexus but her hubby said no cause they were having a new baby, not a new car. Anyways, how about Lexi, Alexa, Alexis? GOOD LUCK

I don't think Alexia is a learning disorder, maybe thinking of Dislexia (sp)
Also, I don't think that changing the spelling would help, cause her name would still be Lexus, Lexis, Lexas, or whatever, which people will still think of the car. Sorry, not trying to be mean, but hey, do what you like best!

I think Lexus would be an ok name if it wasn't a car. How about Jada or Jade as the first name? I don't really like car names.

Yup, according to the old standby dictionary.com, alexia means: "Loss of the ability to read, usually caused by brain lesions"

Julius Caesar's wife was named Portia, and Mercedes was a woman's name long before it was a car. And btw, the car is spelled Porsche.

Everytime I hear the name Lexus or Lexis or Alexis, I think of the saying, "her parent's couldn't afford a luxury car so they named their daughter Alexis"
