Hi, I joined yesterday!

I guess I'll be known as Star on the Forums. I prefer not to give my real name. I'm 100% Indian and enjoy names a lot. My true passion is etymology (latin Names are my favorite) but I also like royalty, past and present (Tudor history being my Forte).

Hi Everyone. My name is Clarissa. I'm 21 years old and I dont have to name anyone or anything anytime soon. But the husband and I have been talking about it. So I figure, cant hurt to look into. I've looked around the site and forums for a few days and it looks to me that everyone here can offer great suggestions and seem very willing to help. I look forward to talking with all of you. And I am sure I'll figure out this whole message board thing pretty quickly.

Hey, I just dropped in late last night and I find myself constantly coming to check in on things.
My name is Tamera (pronounced like Camera, but with a T), not Tamara like so many people try to pronounce it. I hate having my name mispronounced and as a school teacher, I strive to pronounce all my students' first and last names correctly.
I will turn 25 next month and I teach 8th grade at a junior high. Scary, huh?
I also received some thumbs down and some discouraging words, but I guess that is what you get when you look for honesty. I know that all that matters is what my husband and I decide on. It is just good to have other support you.
I would like a unique name for my child...I swear, I will NEVER name my child Brittany, Maddy (any variation),Taylor, Tyler or Mike. There are TOO many of them out there. Take it from me, I've only taught for 3 years, but I've been bombarded by them! Ehhh...

Thanks for being so honest and not too unkind. I'm hoping to get pregnant with my first this summer and become a mommy at the end of the next school year. My husband and I have been together for 8 years, married a year and a half with a 4 and a half year old schnauzer/westie mix, which we adore. Can't wait to be parents, but want to get things in line and be responsible.

Im Norah Christine Jacqueline (took Jacqueline after my mother when she died, as did my sister). I am 17 and I now live in a small town in Norway (small for american standards, big for norwegian: 40 000 citizens). I used to live in New York City.

Hi!
I'm Rebecca Sachiko. I was meant to be Rebecca Elizabeth, but my nissei father took advantage of my mother's general anaesthesia (C-section) and he named me after his aunt Sachiko, runs a pachinko parlor in Nagoya and whose son was killed by the Yakuza. When she found out that Ray-chan had named a daughter after her, she cracked up laughing. But I got a nice doll out of it.

I'm 24 and I've delivered and named four kids so far. I hope to get pregnant again in April and have many many more! Good to meet y'all!
