Hey my name is Brandi. I came across this sight yesterday while trying to find meanings to baby names. I agree with everyone, this site is very addictive!!!! I am 27 yrs old and am expecting my first baby in Nov. If we make it that far. Everyone thinks he will come early but he will make his entrance when he is ready. Love the site and hope to find great advice here. Very Happy

Hi,

When I was in my teens I couldn't understand why I didn't get some exotic name like Anastasia instead of a very common name. When I was 18 I worked at a women's hospital for a while and I would write down first names. I looked up names in genealogy sources, too - when I had time.

I had planned to name my girls Lael or Julian but neither name fit their last name! I have two daughters with names I always have to pronounce and spell for people - and my youngest daughter's name seems to be gaining in popularity. I don't want to say what it is for fear I will spur on its popularity!

I just never knew there was a site for people as addicted to names as I am. I thought I was the only non-pregnant woman checking out baby name sites. I can't say that I'm looking up grandchildren's names as my oldest who just turned 20 has no interest in babies yet. I have the excuse that I'm doing some writing. Anyway, I'm enjoying myself! I'll tell more perhaps later.

Smile

My name is Teri and I'm going to be 15 in one week. I just joined today because I ahve been wanting to find a free message board about kids. I loe them and I love taking care of them. I don't plan on having any for a long time, but I love to write stories so I have to have charecter names all of the time. I love this site and I love how everyone contributes to each other. My dad has about 26 dogs, but only three are mine, Kyla, Kylie, and Maggie. I have a cat, Tiarah, and two angel fish Jenna and Jane.

I baby sit for my mom's best friend's little boy Brynyn Tieler and three other kids. One of them Careofmelone (pro: Caro-me-lone) is only eight weeks. Haysea is a four year old adopted russian boy who lives across the street. His sister Meecha (pro- Meet-Ya) is one. I usually have my hands full with them, but when I don't I get on the comp.

Hey I'm Rachel and I love this site! I was originally looking for meanings when I came across this one, then I saw the forum and thought why not?

As a pretty conservative person I had never gone to a chat room or a forum, but now visit this nearly everyday. It's like a little group of annoyamous friends, like a little community.

I live in Melbourne, Australia and next year I'm moving to Germany (Bavaria). I will be naming my daughter Marissa Catherine (which you guys helped me pick- the name that is). She will be my first child and is due in a couple of months.

I am addicted to shopping, creative/beautiful things, Mexican, fresh bread and chocolate. My hobbies are singing and acting, and of course, baby names! Life is beautiful for me at the moment! And coming to this sight everyday is so much fun and entertaining!

Thanks Anabel, I appreciate you putting up this post and your always wise adivce and words. Very Happy

Hello, my name is Jeanna (pronounced Gina). My husband and I have been married for almost three years now, and started trying to get pregnant early this year. We are very hopeful and excited about someday being parents. I have been on a quest for a girl and boy baby name that we both like, but so far most names we disagree on.
I came across this website one day looking at names and I just liked the setup and the fact that everyone is pretty nice and helpful. I posted a question and got several replies that helped weed out some names.

I'm Mariska and have lurked here for a long time, never posting. It has been dull here of late and I haven't really visited as frequently (since Abbe left, she was the best) but decided to post now since I have recently been diagnosed with the whole baby thing. Again. This will be my fifth baby, and was very unexpected. I am about 11 weeks.

I am very opinionated and have been known to ruffle a few feathers as I tell it quite like I see it (just usually in real time, not on a message board).

So let's have some interesting dialogue, shall we?

My name is Stephanie. I'll be 27 next month and have been with my husband for ten years and three days, but have only been married since January of this year. We have baby fever right now, but are waiting to TTC until next year, after DH gets his raise in salary and we refinance our mortgage. I would start sooner, but DH wants to wait until we have more money. :/
